Who We Are

The Beatrice Uchenna Egwu Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) founded with one sincere goal — to uplift the lives of the less privileged in our society through practical support, education, shelter, and empowerment.

Located in Afikpo-North LGA, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, our foundation operates with love, integrity, and dedication to community development. We recognize the daily struggles faced by many Nigerians and we are here to be a voice of hope, especially to those who are often forgotten.

Our Founder’s Story

Founded by Beatrice Uchenna Egwu, a woman with a deep passion for giving, the Foundation was born out of her personal experiences, strong Christian values, and unshakable belief that “no one should be left behind.” Mama Beatrice, as she’s fondly called in her community, has dedicated her life to caring for widows, sponsoring children’s school fees, and sheltering the homeless even before formalizing this mission.

The foundation was set up to institutionalize this selfless work so that help can reach even more people—far and wide.

This foundation was born from my heart. Long before we had a name or structure, we were helping people from our little resources. I believe that giving is not about how much you have, but how much you care. Through this foundation, we will continue to touch lives and give the forgotten ones a reason to smile again."

Our Mission

To serve as a helping hand to the underprivileged by providing financial assistance, education, housing, and skill empowerment, enabling them to live dignified and productive lives.

Our Vision

To see a society where every man, woman, and child has a fair chance to succeed—regardless of background, location, or financial condition.

Our Objectives

To provide financial aid to struggling families, widows, and orphans.
To offer scholarships and educational sponsorships to brilliant but disadvantaged children and youth.
To support the homeless with shelter and basic survival needs.
To organize free skills acquisition programs (tailoring, catering, ICT, agriculture, etc.) for the unemployed youth and women.
To create community outreach initiatives focused on health, education, and economic empowerment.
To partner with other NGOs, government bodies, and individuals for sustainable social impact.

Why We Do What We Do

In Nigeria today, many children drop out of school due to lack of funds. Many families go to bed hungry. Young people roam the streets with untapped potential. This is not the Nigeria we dream of. At Beatrice Uchenna Egwu Foundation, we believe that every life matters and that a little support at the right time can change a person’s entire story.

We are here to bridge the gap, to stand in the gap, and to raise others to stand tall in society.

In many Nigerian communities, people suffer not because they are lazy—but because they lack opportunity.

With the help of kind-hearted partners and donors, we are working to break cycles of poverty and bring hope to families who have lost it.
